Arsenal Women manager Pedro Losa has part ways with the club, after three years as the Gunners’ boss.
Although there’s been no official announcement from the Arsenal Women at the time of writing, the BBCare reporting the Losa is set to leave his position.
Losa won the FA Cup in 2016, and the WSL Continental Cup in 2015, but hasn’t managed to bring home any trophies this year, and hasn’t ever managed to break into the top two of Chelsea and Manchester City in the league. His side also suffered from very mixed form as the new WSL season got underway.
The Gunners won their first match of the season against Birmingham City, but had to come from behind in the final 10 minutes to do so. They followed that up with a 5-2 battering from Manchester City, and then a disappointing draw against Bristol City (who are in the bottom-half of the WSL teams).
Things did take an encouraging turn after that, as Arsenal eased through their first WSL Continental Cup game, beating London Bees 7-0. But that was a match that the team were always expected to win, and clearly wasn’t enough to convince everyone that Losa should stay on.
The Spaniard looks set to leave the Gunners in sixth place in the league, already five points off leaders Chelsea after just three games.
