Arguably, the worst period in the life of every Arsenal fan is the transfer window – this follows from the inactivity of the club against rival clubs, this will eventually be the undoing of Arsenal in when the League starts.
Arsenal were linked to arrays of star strikers immediately the transfer window was open. however, our deal makers and Wengers have been unable to broker any deal for an attacker that is so-desired at the club.
The latest of such link was Manchester City reject Wilfried Bony, who was also in the radar of Everton. Emerging report claims, Ronald Koeman has withdrawn from the race to sign the player, leaving Arsenal as frontrunners for the player’s signature.
The report claims, Everton are on the look out for a striking patner for Lukaku but apparently, Bony does not define the kind of striker he desires.
Earlier in the summer Koeman had admitted the Toffees were looking for a new striker, saying: “That is one of the positions where we are looking.
“It is that position and that is one of the reasons why I put Deulofeu in front at No9 to see if he can occupy that position.”
On Wednesday Starsport revealed Arsenal were considering a £30m offer for Bony.
To think Arsenal will have any interest in Bony is disheartening. The player scored 10 goals for Manchester City in the last two seasons – his form doesn’t describe someone that thicks the box of his team.
