Arsenal are eyeing a January move for Barcelona attacker Malcom, according to a report in Spain.
Sport claim the Brazilian could be loaned out in January despite only signing for the club in the summer from Bordeaux.
Roma had agreed a deal to sign him from Bordeaux in the summer, and he was ready to fly to Italy before the French club accepted a last-minute higher bid from Barcelona instead and the 21-year-old signed for Barca for €40million.
Malcom though has found game time hard to come by and he has managed just 25 minutes of competitive action so far, and Sport believe his representatives are already trying to force a transfer away from the club.
Inter and Tottenham are among the clubs who are also believed to be interested and Calciomercato and CalcioNews24 have claimed that Malcom’s representatives have made contact with Inter Milan to negotiate a deal. Inter were also heavily linked with Malcom in the summer, but it is understood that they are not interested in him now.
That may well force Malcom to set his sights on the Premier League instead, having been linked with a host of English clubs in the past with Arsenal the latest potential suitors.
Liverpool were also understood to be keen on him in the summer, while Fulham were also linked with an ambitious bid for the player, who is now valued at €50million, despite no first-team action.
Sport’s report is though in complete contradiction to yesterday’s news from Mundo Deportivo who claimed that Barcelona had told Malcom that he would not be allowed to leave the Nou Camp in January.
