Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Bordeaux star Malcom and will iron out the final details of the transfer on Monday, according to reports in Brazil. The Gunners are resigned to selling Alexis Sanchez in the January window, with Arsene Wenger admitting that the Chilean’s future will be resolved within the next 48 hours. The Arsenal boss was adamant that a replacement would be signed, and now Goal Brasil claim that the Gunners have reached an agreement with Bordeaux for Malcom.
Arsenal held talks last week with Bordeaux and in a meeting in London on Thursday shook hands on a contract offer with Malcom’s agent. They expect the deal to be officlaly completed at the start of the week and have scheduled final talks for Monday when the last few details will be negotiated.
Having agreed terms with Arsenal, Malcom’s agent, Fernando Garcia, travelled back to France to share the news and posted a photo of himself with the young attacker after he helped them overcome Troyes.
Malcom also posted an image on Instagram revealing that he is in Paris, which is where the visa office is located and offers the quickest route to travel to London to complete the deal. Speaking after Sunday’s defeat to Bournemouth, Wenger tried to play down news of Malcom’s impending arrival, but now appears to have got his man.
