Arsenal are eyeing a move for Everton winger Ademola Lookman but face competition to land the former Charlton attacker, reports claim. The English forward was sent out on loan to Red Bull Leipzig by Sam Allardyce, after being used sparingly in the Premier League, and he has placed himself firmly in the shop window with some impressive displays for the Bundesliga side and for England’s Under-21 side. Crystal Palace are keen to lure him to Selhurst Park as a replacement for Wilfried Zaha, whose exit seems increasingly likely with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur circling.
Palace believe their ability to offer Lookman guaranteed first-team football will convince him to join, but Arsenal are determined to bring the 20-year-old to the Emirates, according to The Sun. He’s expected to be available for £15million, which represents a bargain in the current market.
