According to a report from the Mirror, Real Madrid have made contact with Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, and if the Welshman moves to the Bernabeu, it might just open the door for Tottenham to sign one of the Spanish giant’s star players.
The Sun claims that if Ramsey joins Madrid, Isco could very well be forced to find a new club, and Spurs cannot afford to miss out on the opportunity to bring the Spaniard to north London.
The 26-year-old is a reported long-term target of Tottenham’s, according to the Mirror, but the north London outfit have never been able to secure a deal for the Spain international.
Isco is a real talent – arguably one of Europe’s best midfield play-makers, and he would undoubtedly add some real quality to the Spurs side.
And wouldn’t it be ironic if Arsenal actually helped out their bitter rivals, by sanctioning Ramsey’s switch to Madrid, and in-turn making Isco available all of a sudden.
Tottenham are unquestionably one of England’s strongest teams – arguably a lot better than Arsenal, but they need to win some major honours before they can be considered as a great side.
In order to do just that, Mauricio Pochettino will surely need to add more world-class talent to his ranks, and Isco would certainly fulfil that criteria.
Tottenham chances of snaring the Spaniard will be greatly improved if Arsenal’s Ramsey makes the switch to the Bernabeu, and that in itself will be enough to make Gunners fans sick to their stomach.
Not only will they be losing their longest serving player, but they would be assisting Spurs in signing a world class talent in the process.
