In what has already appeared as frustrating summer for Arsenal and its fans, the latest reports doing the rounds suggest a senior member of the Gunners squad Mathieu Debuncy has reportedly asked to leave the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.
The Gunners hunt for new defenders seem to have been fruitful with Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi already signed on. The Gunners faithful have been agitating that the club bring in the needed bodies before August 31 and, boss Arsene Wenger calmed them a bit this week after completing the transfer of Mustafi and Perez.
However, it appears the French tactician who recently sanctioned the loan deal of Joel Campbell to Sporting Lisbon and Asano Takuma to Vfb Stuttgart could give the green light for Mathieu Debuchy to leave the Emirates.
As per Get French Football News, Mathieu Debuchy has told Wenger he was to finally leave Arsenal before the transfer window deadline, having been displaced from the right-back spot by Hector Bellerin.
The French defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux and has yet to feature for Arsenal so far this term. Debuchy, 31, joined Arsenal from Newcastle in 2014 after the exit of Bacary Sagna, but the Arsenal defender is now on the peripheral at the Emirates.
