Blow as another Arsenal attacker is ruled out of Liverpool game

Arsenal will play against Liverpool in a make or mare game later today but we will be without some key players.

Arsenal look set to be without key playmaker Mesut Ozil for Saturday’s game against Liverpool as the Germany international fails to recover from flu in time.

Arsene Wenger had hoped to have the 28-year-old back in time for the trip to Anfield this weekend, but it seems that he’ll have to tinker with his side for this big match.

Arsenal and Liverpool are in direct competition for an all-important top four place this season, and neither goes into tomorrow’s match in top form.

It will be a big blow for the Gunners to take on one of their rivals without Ozil, with their record signing an important contributor of goals and assists for much of this season, despite a recent slump.

Still, the Daily Mirror claim Ozil will not be involved for the trip to Merseyside, though in more positive news, Aaron Ramsey is back in training for the north Londoners.

It’s been a difficult season for Arsenal with injuries, with Santi Cazorla another vital midfield player missing for much of the campaign.
