The transfer market is about seven days being shut and it is now looking like we may not be signing any player after all.
Season in and out, we see our very own dear Arsenal being linked with too many players in the market, yet we end the window without really bolstering our squad.
According to reports, Tottenham are front runners to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfield maestro Hakan Calhanoglu. Arsenal are reported as long term admirers of the free-kick maestro.
His representative, Bektas Demirtas, told German publication Express: “It is true that Tottenham have registered their interest with me.”
Bayer reportedly want £21.4 million for the Turkish intentional attacking midfielder according to Bild.
Arsenal already have players that play in similar position as the Turkish international and it would not make sense if we were truly interested in the player.
The 22-year-old has another three-years remaining on his contract and the German giants are prepared to hold off accepting a deal until their valuation is met.
