Arsenal have now lost two away games in a row and from title contenders of two weeks ago, we now look like we going to settle for our traditional fourth place.
to compound Arsenal woes, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Chamberlain suffered a hamstring injury and may not be in action for the rest of this year.
The midfielder came on as a second-half substitute but failed to make an impact and was forced off only 13 minutes later.
We were thrashed 2-1 and Wenger said:
‘He is injured, it’s a muscular problem. It looks like a hamstring.’
Oxlade-Chamberlain is now a doubt for Arsenal’s festive fixtures against West Brom and Crystal Palace.
We are now nine points adrift of League leaders Chelsea and given the form of the Blues and the antecedent of Arsenal, we can safely say that Arsenal have dropped out of the title race.
