Big boost! Two more return to full training for Arsenal

Criticism of Wenger’s training methods have been bubbling up for a few years now. With the sheer amount of injury lay-offs every season, it’s not hard to wonder why. Outspoken Dutch fitness coach Raymond Verheijen criticised the Frenchman’s “old school” practices, citing lengthy spells on the sidelines for younger players such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey not being a coincidence.

However, according to report,

Per Mertesacker and Mathieu Debuchy have returned to full training with Arsenal.

The duo were joined by Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, both of whom were involved against Southampton on Saturday.

Debuchy will be especially pleased to return to fitness before the window shuts as he looks for a move away.
