Arsenal are keeping tabs on Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki, according to a report in England
Arsenal are ready to launch an offer for Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Gunners are interested in a deal to sign the shot stopper and have sent scouts to watch the promising Polish shot stopper.
The same article states that one of Arsenal’s goalkeeping coaches is thought to have attended a Poland Under-20 fixture to keep tabs on Majecki’s performances.
According to the same story, the Gunners would look to sign Majecki next month but the Poland Under-20 international would be loaned back to Legia Warsaw until the summer.
There is no mention of any potential competitors for Majecki’s signature in the report, and the teenager would be the fourth goalkeeper in the senior squad should a move materialise.
Petr Cech and Bernd Leno have been vying for the number one spot this season, while Emiliano Martinez is their third-choice goalkeeper.
Colombia international David Ospina is currently on loan at Serie A side Napoli from Arsenal after struggling to hold down the number one spot.
The Gunners do have a good record of bringing talented Polish goalkeepers through their system after Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski both blossomed into first-choice goalkeepers at various points in their Premier League careers at the north London side.
