The Gunners could be a little light up front next season if Sanchez does walk away from the club over an ongoing contract dispute, with Olivier Giroud unlikely to be trusted as first-choice up front again.
Arsenal are yet again being linked with a move for AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang, according to reports to Italy. Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer and reportedly tried to sign the player when he left Caen.
The player opted for Milan but, undeterred, Wenger and Arsenal kept tabs on the 22-year-old. After impressing in Vincenzo Montella’s new look Milan side his stock is on the rise and Arsenal may be forced to act quickly to ensure they don’t miss out again.
Despite some patchy form over the last couple of seasons, Milan starlet Niang remains a highly-rated talent and one that Arsenal would apparently be ready to swoop for.
Mundo Deportivo claim that the north Londoners hold an interest in the 22-year-old Frenchman, who has been linked several times with Premier League clubs in the past.
Niang has three goals so far this season and hasn’t found the back of the net since October, so Arsenal fans may be concerned that their club are not aiming high enough with this particular transfer target.
