After completing the signing of Granit Xhaka weeks ago, Arsenal have now moved a step closer to bringing another fresh face to the Emirate with the signing of Bolton man Rob Holding possibly finalized within this week with reports claiming a bid for the English man has been accepted by Bolton from Arsenal.
New boss Phil Parkinson is set to bring in his replacement in defense, as the Bolton Wanderers defender, could be packing his bags this week. Bolton Wanderers have their sights set on Mark Beevers, who would slot in to cover either at left-back and central defence.
Despite Bolton’s disappointing end to the season that saw them finish bottom of the Championship, Holding was a very rare positive to take with them into relegation as he finished as Bolton’s Player of the Year
Holding, 20 had a formidable season wrapping up a place in the England U21’s squad, and most recently replaced Everton man Brendan Galloway in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Bolton are looking to cash in heavily on the young defender who has been watched by Premier leagues sides, Chelsea and Liverpool. With the likes of ageing Per Metesacker and Laurent Koscielny who will look to move on in two season’s time, the youngster looks to be heading to Arsenal as a prospective first team player to replace them.
