The BBC were banned from using the official Arsenal kit in a new show as the club were offended by the use of it.
The new show ‘ By Any Means’ focuses on an elite police unit and wanted to use the Arsenal shirt in a storyline relating to robbery and crime.
The storyline shows how detectives dressed as Arsenal fans trick former criminals in to believing they have a private stadium tour before arresting them.
The show also uses offensive lines in the show that include.
‘You are under arrest for supporting Arsenal Football Club, you don’t have to say anything but anything you do say will be ignored.’
As well as a response to ‘They’re crooks’ being ‘They’re worse than that, they’re Gooners’.
Arsenal refused permission to use their kit as a result but the show went and created similar clothing using the same colours and styles.
