In the wake of winter transfer window, La Liga giants Barcelona made a shocking move for 31-year-old Kevin-Prince Boateng.
With the arrival of Boateng to the Catalan team, Denis Suarez might just be free to join Arsenal this winter, according to reports.
The Ghanaian midfielder has formerly enjoyed spells with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, English club Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan in his early football career and also moved to join Sassuolo last summer just when his career started to look fade. And now the midfielder is joining Barcelona.
Journalist for Di Marzio, Fabrizio Romano, made an early report on Monday claiming that Boateng was close to joining up the Catalonians. And the move was confirmed by the club to be true.
After that was, another reliable journalist took to his Twitter page to report that Denis Suarez will be released by Barcelona after acquiring the signature of Boateng, who can be deployed either as a midfielder or forward just like Suarez, replacing the 25-year-old as a backup ootion.
With a backup option already in place for Barca, the club will be in a hurry to conclude on a transfer move for Suarez as they want him out of the squad ASAP.
Reports coming from Spain claims that a transfer move to Arsenal is inevitable and could be done this week, which could mean the player could be ready in time for selection in the squad to face Manchester United or the games that follows.
Denis Suarez has been left out of the Barcelona’s squad several times this season with his imminent exit rumours looming around the club. Suarez will be getting more game time at Arsenal than Barcelona.
