In recent time past, the club Arsenal have been synonymous to injuries and this has truncated our seasons and title ambition– we hope it doesn’t be the case this season.
Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott was left out of the Champions League squad that drew against Paris Saint Germain yesterday due to injury, as confirmed by Arsenal official website.
Walcott has been involved in all the matches of Arsenal beginning this season but the news of his injury was broken just before the Champions League clash.
Speaking ahead of kick off, Wenger revealed that Theo is suffering from a minor knee injury so was left back in north London to recover, but thankfully the boss doesn’t think it’s a long-term concern.
Wenger is quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“He [Walcott] has a knee problem, I think it’s very short term but he’s not completely fit so I left him at home.
“Basically its 90 percent of the squad who played on Saturday who play tonight.”
However, he absence was not felt as Alex Iwobi did very well on the right flank. We hope he returns on time to be part of the squad this weekend.
