Bad News: Real Reason Perez Was Left Out Of Arsenal vs Burnley Squad

A lot of questions were raised by the fans of Arsenal who have not seen enough of new boy Lucas Perez as the player missed the tripped to the Turf Moore yesterday.

Alexis Sanchez was the only striker for Arsenal on the team list and many people thought Wenger dropped Perez without a good reason.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the Burnley game, Arsene Wenger did not mention that the player had any issue. However, latest report claims the player was ruled out due to a slight injury.

But the official Arsenal Twitter feed cleared it up by announcing he had a “slight knee injury.”

There is no telling how long he’ll be sidelined as the club Arsenal are yet to state how long he will be out for.

After so much speculation, Perez joined Arsenal last summer in a  £17m from Deportivo La Coruna.

The 28-year-old has made just three appearances so far, scoring two in the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.

Arsenal will face Swansea after the interlull and we hope to see Perez back in the squad.
