Arsenal were heavily involved in the transfer of players during the summer window and as expected we’ll equally be busy in the winter but mainly for the sale of players.
According the reports Turkey, Germany international and Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has held talks with Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
Ozil still has two years left on his current contract but talks have been stalled over disagreement in wage and so he’s been linked with a move away from the Emirates.
However, this reports comes as a shock – as it claims that the 28-year-old midfield schemer has already met with the representatives of the Turkish club for a move.
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claim the Arsenal star sat down with ‘important names’ from the club to discuss a future move.
The 17 hours meeting was said to have been kept hush.
Ozil is of Turkish descent and he spotted during his visit to Istanbul last year, posting an image on his Instagram account with the caption “Always a good idea #LoveThisCity”.
The midfielder has also openly spoken of his love for Fenerbahce and admitted last summer he would like to play for the Turkish side.
“In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt. It would be an honour,” he said in July.
“Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan.”
He is said to be demanding a £250,000-a-week contract along with fellow Gunners star Alexis Sanchez.
