Angel Di Maria will be staying at Real Madrid and not join either Galatasaray or Arsenal. The Argentine has told AS a respected Spanish paper that he is aware of the fact that Real Madrid will be buying Tottenham’s Gareth Bale but he has decided to stay and fight for his first team chance with Real Madrid instead of move to another club where he will be almost guaranteed first team football.
Arsenal and lately Turkish giants Galatasaray were reportedly close to signing the player. A Turkish paper Hurriyet even went as far as saying Galatasaray has agreed terms with Real Madrid and now only trying to convince the player to join them.
Marca are reporting Di Maria has decided to stay and his agent Jorge Mendes has met with Florentino Perez to let him know the player intends to stay regardless of whether Real succeeds in their attempt to sign Gareth bale or not.
Arsenal are thought to be ready to take both the Argentine, French striker Karim Benzema and Germany’ Mesut Ozil in a move that is said to be worth 100 million pounds as Real Madrid tries to recover some of the money spent on Gareth Bale through players sale.
