After heavily being involved in the summer transfer window, Arsene Wenger is now saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that his key players are tied to the foreseeable future of the club.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus are keenly interested in the signing of Santi Cazorla and they will attempt to lure him when the window re-opens in January.
Cazorla is in the final year of his contract with Arsenal but is yet to be offered a contract extension despite his importance to us.
The report according to Calciomercato claims Juvenus wants Cazorla to sign a pre-contract agreement with them so that he will join them for free next summer.
Cazorla has also not ruled out a return to Spain but has said recently that his first preference would be to sign a new deal with Arsenal and remain in London.
The 31-year-old midfield schemer is currently recovering from an ankle injury and Wenger claims he doesn’t even know how soon the player will return.
If I had to guess one way or another, I would think that Arsenal will offer Santi a new two-year deal and he will sign.
