Our boys return to action this weekend in a home game against Swansea City. With the form of the team, we should come out tops in this despite the unpredictability of the Premier League.
We have won their last five League games and just two points adrift of League leaders Manchester City.
Manager Arsene Wenger knows his boys cannot afford to drop points against Bob Bradley’s new side to keep pace with the League leaders.
Speaking ahead of the game, Wenger said:
“Last year we had a very negative experience with Swansea that killed our chance to win the championship.
“We have to re-focus because all the players have been away.
“We have to show we can deal with being favourites, we didn’t always do it last season.”
While the international break can upset a team’s good run, Wenger insists the Gunners will be ready to kick on again.
He added: “If I look at the results after international break it is not negative.
“It’s not only that. We play in a very difficult Premier League. There is room for improvement.”
