Arsene Wenger has given his thoughts on Arsenal’s chances in the title race after their recent run of improved results.
The Gunners kicked off the season with a dramatic victory over Leicester City but defeats at Stoke City and Liverpool left many fans and pundits bashing the team once again.
Wenger was certainly unmoved by the words of those critics as he chose not to bring in any more new signings before the closing of the summer transfer window.
But fortunately for the Arsenal manager, his side has managed to turn things around swiftly, winning three of their last four games in the Premier League.
And after the 2-0 win over Brighton on Sunday, Wenger’s men seem to be back in the conversation at the top of table.
Even with Manchester City and their local rivals setting the pace, the Gunners boss appears to be unfazed.
“It’s too early [to draw conclusions]. It’s very early, seven games played and 31 to go.” Wenger said
“Last year after six games Man City was top with 18 points, so let’s not go to pick conclusions.
“They played outstanding yesterday [Saturday], but there’s a long way to go.”
