Arsenal have not ended their interested in Borrusia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan according to daily mirror. The German international was constantly been linked with Arsenal in the last transfer window but nothing came off the rumours as Dortmund refuse to sell the 25 million pound rated player.
Daily mirror are reporting Wenger plans to go back to Dortmund with a bigger bid once the January transfer window opens which he believes will be accepted by Dortmund. Arsenal are reportedly still interested in signing a player who can play both the defensive midfield role and other roles in the middle of the park and have earmarked Ilkay Gundogan as the ideal player.
Although Arsenal resigned Flamini on a free transfer in the just concluded window, it is been Wenger still wants another defensive midfielder as he grows worried over the long term fitness of aging Mikel Arteta.
