Arsenal Told To Pay 40 Million Euros If They Want High Rated La Liga Midfielder

There are reports from Spain this morning that claim Arsenal target Atletico Madrid’s Ardan Turan has signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid which has hiked up his release clause from 24 million euros to 40 million euros. This means any club interested in signing the high rated and very versatile player has to be ready to pay as much as 40 million Euors or 38 million pounds.

Ardan Turan has been linked to Arsenal several times in the last few years with reports claiming Wenger made an official enquiry for the player in the last window but was turned back by Madrid through their asking price. Ardan who can also play on both wings is also a target for Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham.

With Arsenal’s romance with injuries robbing them of key men on the wing, it was thought Wenger will move for the Turkish international once the January transfer window opens but with the player’s release clause going up from 24 million Euros to 40 million euros, it is certain Wenger who is often prudent when it comes to spending money in the transfer window will have to look elsewhere for his player.
