If reports from Spain and Italy are anything to go by, Arsenal may be getting a striker on the cheap in January. Juventus striker Fernando Llorente could be heading for an early exit in January after only joining the Italian champions in the summer. He signed a pre-contract agreement last January and moved from Athletic Bilbao on a free transfer but has had to play second fiddle since his arrival.
His family have also struggled to settle down in Turin and the 28 year old has decided to seek a move away when the winter window opens. He is prepared to change his mind if his situation changes as the club but feels a move away would be the best thing.
The player who Bilbao wanted 25 million Euros for before joining Juve may be available to Arsenal for as little as 6 million pounds. There has been plenty of interest from the Premier League for the Spanish hit man with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all monitoring his situation.
The striker would probably get more game time at Arsenal considering they only have one senior striker in Olivier Giroud. All three clubs operate with a lone striker and both other clubs have several options. The Blues have Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres while Spurs can choose from Roberto Soldado, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor so Arsenal are the logical choice for game time.
However, Llorente may opt for a move back to Spain , a country he knows his family would settle in and where he could enjoy success again.
