The fact that Arsenal are in the market for a new striker is well know. Only few days ago the club’s CEO Ivan Gazidis confirmed Arsenal are already looking for a new striker and if you believe reports in Spain today, one of Arsenal’s main targets for the January transfer window may actually be keen on joining the gunners. Reports coming in from Spain and some section of the French media are saying that Real Madrid and French International striker Karim Benzema is keen to push a move through to North London in January.
The Daily Mail claims that sources in Spain suggest the French international striker is ready for a new challenge away from the Spanish Capital and is warming to the idea of a move to England.
Benzema who has had regular first team action under coach Carlo Ancelotti this season with several goals to show for it is set to cost around £27.5 million.
The striker would also likely demand a salary of £150,000 a week which will not be a problem for the gunners who have relaxed their hitherto rigid wage structure.
Many Arsenal faithful’s are hoping Wenger is able to convince his fellow Frenchman to join the Gunners come January.
