Arsenal have reportedly offered €10 million for St. Etienne midfield anchor Joshua Gulavogui. The Gunners are in the market for a defensive midfielder and are hoping Gulavogui can finally end their search.
The Gunners have seen Luiz Gustavo and Geoffrey Kondogbia both snub Arsenal while having bids rejected for Lars Bender, Yohan Cabaye and Paul Pogba. Despite the club’s re-signing of Mathieu Flamini, Arsene Wenger is still hopeful he can bring in another defensive midfielder to add to his squad.
The French side are interested in Gunners forward Park Chu Young and he could be offered as part of the deal. The 22-year old has been capped twice by France. Although the player’s club has agreed a deal with Athletico Madrid, Gulavogui is according to the reports in the French media deliberately wanting to see if Arsenal will be reviving their interest in him.
