Arsenal To Have New Signing Against Fulham On Saturday – Reports

Arsenal v Liverpool - Barclays Premier League

If news doing the round are true, Arsenal will have a new signing when the team play Fulham in a London Derby this weekend. The Guardian, a UK newspaper’s website are reporting that Arsenal will be resigning former defensive Midfielder Mathieu Flamini on time for the team’s match against Fulham on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger is poised to resign the French man on a free transfer according to Guardian. The French man who left Arsenal in 2009 after spending 4 years with the London club has only recently rejected an offer to renew his contract with AC Milan and has been training with Arsenal in order to regain fitness.

Although West Ham and Fulham are also interested in signing Flamini, Arsenal however stand a better chance as both clubs are not willing to pay his 75,000 pounds per week wage demands which shouldn’t be a problem for Arsenal who are now apparently relaxing the rigid Wage structure.

With Arteta out and Diaby also out as always, Wenger has set his mind on signing a new defensive midfielder and has seen a bid rejected for Newcastle United’s Cabaye. The Gunners are also trying to sign Real Madrid’s Di Maria and Karim Benzema.

    1. Hold it there Mr Uthman! There is no way Parker is better than Flamini, unless being british has a major say.

  1. Another freebie. What is happening at our once great club? Is anyone protesting? Did anyone watch him those years ago. He is NOT the solution. Wenger is truly mad if he does this. I think it is hype because even Wenger is not that stupid. I don’t believe Wenger has sunk that low.

    1. What are we protesting for Mr Spurs, Is signing a quality free player a crime? Would you turn down a properly working Iphone to go and buy one for a fortune?

  2. Its not that hes a free its that he’s pushing in age wise and is injury prone. So of wenger resigns him he wont sign another dm like fellini or bender and next year after they have both been bought by other clubs and flamini and diaby are both injured neither fellini nor bender will be available. Its a cheap small patch on a huge leak and it will not do. Now dont get me wrong I really like flamini and id say sign him and fellini/bender. Cos hes a winner hes experienced and as good as either of the other two when fully fit, its just that hes unreliable injury wise.

  3. Flamini”s return to Arsenal this time around will prove all the doubters wrong. As fans of this great club, let us just hope for the injection of more and well experienced prayers being promised by our closed-fisted manager. No shaking!Money is not only meant to be kept but also to be spent .Whether wenger likes it or not the money at hand must surely be spent on top qualitiy players.Enough of excuses from AW.We need to buy more players MR.WENGER.This current squad can’t survive the whole season with these limited resources on groundOtherwise, the remaining best players in the team come next season would surely leave the club for a better club that has ambition. Gooner 4life!

  4. Honsetly this is bad news for gunners fans who is Flamini in todays football? Stupid Wenger and the board. I am disappionted about the management of this great club.

  5. he is a good signing assuming someone like cabaye etc etc signs as well.. flamini is a good squad rotation player. arsene always has an “eboue” in his squad aka someone who can play multiple positions but isn’t a starter. last year it was le coq. obviously him being sent on loan is to get experience and I don’t think flamini is a bad stop-gate for this year. sign him on a 30,000 1 year contract with an option for a second year determined by appearances or what ever. I do stress however he is a good signing IF he comes with another DM or box to box midfielder.
