Sochaux of France’s Sebastien Corchia could be joining Arsenal in January as the player has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving the French club once the January window opens. The right back was thought to be on his way to Arsenal in the last window to replace Bacary Sagna unfortunately nothing came out of the rumours.
Talking to L’Equipe Corchia said : “I know what I have to do now during matches and I will see what happens in the next windows. But at the moment, I want to work with my club.
“[Leaving in the winter] can be a possibility, Sochaux negotiate with interested clubs. I prefer to focus on the present at the moment.”
Aside Arsenal, Marseille are also interested in signing the player with reports coming from France claiming the French deputy champions are ready to revive their interest in the 23 year old highly rated defender after they failed in their attempt to sign another free agent Anthony Reveillere.
With Bacary Sagna still yet to renew his Arsenal contract, it will not be surprising if Wenger returns back in January for the French under 21 player.
