Jack Butland has denied reports that he has asked to leave Stoke City in the summer, amid interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The England goalkeeper was reported to have told the Potters that he wanted to move to one of the Premier League’s top four at the end of the season.
But Butland took to Twitter to deny the rumours and insisted he is fully focused on keeping Stoke in the Premier League.
“Before this spreads any further, I haven’t told the club I want to leave, I’m focused on doing everything I can to keep the club in this division!” Butland posted.
“Stop believing everything you read!”
With doubt over the goalkeeper positions at both Liverpool and Arsenal, Butland was touted as a long term solution for both clubs.
Jurgen Klopp has rotated Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet throughout the season, while Petr Cech has been in unconvincing form for Arsenal.
football.london understands Butland was keen on a summer move to Anfield, but a lot could depend on the transfer fee Stoke will demand for the stopper, with the Potters likely to demand more than £30million, in excess of what Everton paid Sunderland for Jordan Pickford back in June.
