Arsenal Target Agrees Five Years Deal, To Earn £120k/Week – Not Xhaka

After years of been linked with Arsenal, one of our long term targets will be playing in the Premier league next season after agreeing to sign a five years contract. Unfortunately he is not on his way to Arsenal.

According to various reports this morning, Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan which means we will probably never see Gundogan playing for Arsenal. The report by Telegraph who are considerably reliable claim City have agreed a deal worth £20.1m for the signature of the German after months of constant negotiation.

Gundogan will reportedly be earning £120,00 a week with Manchester City over the course of the five years deal. However, with Arsenal themselves having already signed Granit Xhaka, we really do not need Gundogan any more especially as he has shown that he is very injury prone. I will certainly not pay £120,000 a week for Gundogan. This is not saying he is not good, he is a very classy midfielder, one that I would have wanted if we had not signed Xhaka, but he is also very injury prone and whats the use of a ferrrai that is permanently packed in the garage.

Granit Xhaka over the current injury prone Gundogan any day anytime.
