In what will be regarded as good news for Gunners, Telegraph’s Jeremy Wilson tweeted yesterday that Arsenal still have interest in Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Manchester United actually prefer to sell the English man to Arsenal than to Chelsea. It was reported earlier this summer that Arsenal are monitoring the Wayne Rooney saga with United but no bid was made.
Chelsea have had 2 bids rejected for the highly rated but unsettled English man and are according to reports preparing another bid of over 30 million which they hope will convince Manchester United to sell the English man.
Jeremy Wilson claims Rooney is very interested in the prospect of joining Chelsea but will be open to moving to Arsenal should Manchester United refuse him the opportunity of playing for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Arsenal are currently trying to sign Luiz Suarez from Liverpool and should that fail, it is believed they will attempt to sign Rooney in order to savage their already messy situation. However, Wayne Rooney’s bogus wages may be a stumbling block for Arsenal.
