Piers Morgan took to social media to once again call for Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal during Arsenal’s clash with Sunderland on Tuesday night.
The north London side kept their faint top-four hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over the Black Cats at The Emirates to leave them one point behind Liverpool ahead of the final round of Premier League games this weekend.
Arsenal were made to work hard for the result against the already-relegated Black Cats and after a goalless first half, Alexis Sanchez made the breakthrough in the 72nd minute.
And the Chilean struck again nine minutes later to leave Arsenal fifth and a point behind fourth-placed Liverpool after Manchester City’s comfortable win over West Brom.
Arsenal shareholder Morgan has long been calling for Wenger to leave Arsenal and has not been afraid to make his views heard on social media in recent seasons.
And the former Daily Mirror editor was clearly feeling frustrated on Tuesday night, as he tweeted: “Even by the standards of Arsenal’s worst season in 20 years – this is dire. #WengerOUT”
