Arsenal Set To Sign The New Wilshere

Arsenal is set to carry on their summer swoop of youngsters with the signing of West Brom’s 14-year old Yan Dhanda. Dhanda has just been called up England U16s, similar to what happened Jack Wilshere at his age.

West Brom picked up the youngster at an Asian Soccer Star talent competition but could be prised away from the club by the Gunners. Arsenal is currently in a transitional period and Wenger wants to rebuild the team, including the young guns.

The Gunners have already acquired Dan Crowley, Yaya Sanogo and Julio Pleguezuelo to help fill the void left by the 11 youngsters that were released earlier this month including Sanchez Watt and Jernade Meade.

Crowley is considered the next ‘Jack Wilshere’ and was one of Aston Villa’s brightest prospects. He is an England U17 international at only 15 and has been tracked by Arsenal for a few months.

Yaya Sanogo had an impressive season with Auxerre. The young French striker only played 13 Ligue 2 games but managed a staggering nine goals, which has ultimately caught the eye of Wenger who is willing to shell out £300,000 in compensation to get the 20-year old.

Julio Pleguezuelo is another graduate of Barcelona bought to Arsenal by Wenger. He bought Cesc Fabregas to London from the Catalans and forged him in to one of the world’s best midfielders. Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin also made the same switch while Ignasi Miguel started his career at La Masia before being released.

Arsene Wenger is also after Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Reports suggested the 18-year old had already signed the for the Gunners a few weeks ago but those reports were false and his club Partizan do not want to sell him, however Wenger is not giving up.

  1. The ‘old’ Wilshire wants to buck his ideas up and start to learn how to play with pass and move teamates. Football is about teamwork- playing the ball quickly and moving. Time and again Jack hangs on to the ball when he should release. There is a time to hold- and to run- but the basis is pass and move. Finding space and angles is an art and Jack has not got it.
