Arsenal are interested in signing Lazio midfielder Hernanes in the January transfer window after failing to sign the high rated midfielder in the just concluded transfer window according to reports from Italy. Earlier yesterday, daily mirror reported that the midfielder was one of the many players Wenger had his eyes fixed on in the summer transfer window but Lazio refused to sell.
Wenger is thought to be still interested in the player even after signing Ozil and he is ready to make his move in the January transfer window. His Versatility is according to the reports something Wenger finds interesting.
Hernanes is the centre piece of the current Lazio side. He can play as attacking midfielder or the deep lying playmaker in a 4-5-1 formation and can also play on both wings.
However, Arsenal are not the only club interested in the player. Spanish side Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the 20 million pounds rated playmaker and if reports from Spain are to be believed, they are hope to steal a match on Arsenal for the player once the January transfer window is flagged open.
Bayern Munich and AS Monaco are interested in signing the player according to reports but the interest from both clubs seem to have died down after both sign other players playing the same role as Hernanes in the just concluded transfer window.
