Arsenal Set To Make Improved Bid For Star Striker

Luiz SuarezArsenal are stepping up their interest in Luis Suarez with a second improved bid of £35 million. Arsene Wenger had a £30 million offer rejected last week but has come back with another bid to try and sign the striker.

The striker has expressed a desire to leave Liverpool but the club are hoping to keep hold of their star man. This has not stopped bookmakers putting Suarez odds on to join either Arsenal or Real Madrid before the end of the window. The player now insists he wants to play Champions League football, something Liverpool are unable to offer him.

Suarez, of course, comes with a reputation having been given long suspensions for racially abusing Patrice Evra and biting Branislav Ivanovic, while also serving a punishment in the Netherlands for a similar offence. He will miss the first six domestic matches of next season due to his latest ban. However, he clearly has talent too.

The South American scares defenders with his silky skills and lethal finishing. He lit up the Premier League last season and only lost out on the Golden Boot because of his suspension allowing Robin Van Persie to pick it up instead. It’s no doubt Liverpool will do all they can to hold on to him but it seems they are fighting a losing the battle. They want at least £40 million for the attacker but might have to settle for less with Suarez no longer having an interest to stay.

Despite the recent heavy interest in Suarez, Wenger still remains confident that the club will sign Gonzalo Higuain. A deal was apparently close last month before the move went cold and hasn’t started up again but the Frenchman still eyes the striker as a primary target and will look to clinch his signing regardless of the outcome of Suarez’s move.

  1. It will be wise if Liverpool reach fast otherwise they end up like us like we sell fab and nasri when transfer was near close. I think this saga must end quickly so both clubs will benefit for that. From our eyes Liverpool is not our rival (fanvise). They had Man U, Everton and we had Sp%rs Chelshit Man Unicorn. Two years ago loosing time is like loosing f…king epl.

  2. We already bid close to 35million so liverpool managing director said so why bid 35mill when you might aswell bid 40mill seriously I can’t stay away from rumours but the truth is no one actually knows unless they find info on bbc or sky sports(but even then sky sports get our hopes up sometimes then drop us hard) I’m not gona go on about wenger or board but keep faith yeah we waited long enough and I’m frustrated too! Infact proper frustrated, annoyed, stressed but then again I’m the one clicking pages, and in my honest opinion no info or source just what I believe: we as fans will be waiting till end of transfers I can see it plus arsene wenger won’t sign while he in asia even if there’s more than one scout come on guys we seen this before!! The board are simply selling tickets! Well it don’t take genius to work out boycott the matches aand season ticket holders
