With the signing of Granit Xhaka almost done, it appears Arsenal are going to be active in the transfer market this summer. And this is not just for incoming players but as well s those that will be leaving the club this summer.
Talking of those likely to leave Arsenal this summer, reports in the Italian media today claim Arsenal on loan star Wojciech Szczesny may be allowed to sign permanently for AS Roma his loan club. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport via Sports Witness, Wenger is happy for Szczesny to be sold to AS Roma for €20m.
This means Wenger doesn’t see the Poland international as part of the club’s future. This could also mean David Ospina will not be leaving the club this summer which is contrary to media reports that claim the Colombian will be sold this summer.
Personally I believe selling Szczesny will be the right decision. He has shown in his time at Arsenal that he loves the club unfortunately he is not serious enough to play for us. He is talented no doubt but talent enough is never enough. Ask David Bentley.
