According to reports from Sportsdirect news last night, Arsenal are set to send in a bid of 22 million pounds for Everton’s Belgian international Maroune Fellaini. The 22 million pounds bid if made, is enough to activate the release clause of the big Belgian according to Sportsdirect news.
Although Everton’s new boss Roberto Martinez has come out to state they are not ready to sell Fellaini, the clause in Fellaini’s contract however permits him to leave Everton if a bid of 22 million arrives from any of the 4 teams that will be playing in the champions league this season.
Arsenal are apparently in the market for several big name stars and one of them is Maroune Fellaini who Wenger has openly admitted he likes in the past. Wenger is said to have a considerably big amount of money to spend in this summer’s transfer window and the Arsenal management are bent on convincing the more prudent manager to actually go out and burn the cash this time around. They have been linked to several big name stars in the last few weeks.
Arsenal are however not the only club interested in signing Maroune Fellaini. Reports have it that new Manchester United manager, David Moyes who was just last season Fellaini’s boss is also monitoring the situation. Moyes is thought to be willing to buy Fellaini if his bid for former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas fails.
