German media house, the highly respected bid are reporting that Arsenal target Gustavo has put pen to paper on a 15 million deal but not for Arsenal instead for Wolfsburg. The respected newspaper’s source are of the opinion that the Brazilian has decided to remain in the Bundesliga and as such has agreed terms with Wolfsburg and the deal will be announced soon.
Gustavo was according to many British papers close to joining Arsenal in a deal they claim is between 14 to 17 million pounds. The player himself reportedly praised the interest from Arsenal and sounded to be keen on joining the gunners only to ditch them for lowly Wolfsburg.
If the news is true, this will be painful for the Arsenal board and their fans as the gunners have so far been frustrated in the transfer market with not a single real signing made in the window so far.
Although the club confirmed the signing fo France under 20 striker Yaya Sanogo who was signed on a free transfer from French second division club Auxerre, the fans expected the club to have done more in the transfer window especially after Gazidis and Wenger promised the fans the club now has money to spend and are willing to spend it.
