North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are about to battle for the signature of Inter’s South American striker Mauro Icardi after agent Wanda Nara claimed Inter are willing to listen to offers for the striker.
Inter’s skipper Icardi joined from Sampdoria in 2013 and since gone on to make 105 appearances and scoring 52 goals for the Italian giants so far but his future at the San Siro has been questioned
in recent weeks with his agent claims Inter can no longer afford his services. Inter chiefs quickly refuted this claim by issuing a public statement saying their captain isn’t for sale.
Icardi has expressed his commitment to the Italian giants by signing a contract extension last year without a pay raise and or Champions league football. Icardi’s outspoken agent has gone on record to claim Icardi actually took a pay cut when he signed his contract extension.
Nara has claimed her priority is to look out for her agent’s best interest stating “There are many offers, but I do not negotiate with other clubs. I only talk about Mauro’s contract, that’s my role, not doing negotiations. Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Arsenal have made contact. Napoli and Roma are also interested now.”
