The Premier League title has eluded Arsenal for over 12years and they are currently not doing better than that have done in previous seasons.
Former goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has urged Wenger to meet the demand of Mesut Ozil as he is key to their title challenge.
The former Premier League goalkeeper says the quality Ozil adds to the team means the Gunners have got to try and keep him.
And if they were to let him go, Kirkland reckons it would cost Arsenal a kings’ ransom to replace the German midfielder.
Speaking to Sky Sports, “To go and replace someone of Ozil’s quality you’re talking £40m-£50m straight away,” he said.
“I know he’s rumoured to be asking for a lot of money, but for me, if Arsenal want to keep challenging for the Premier League and to win the major titles, they’ve got to do all they can to keep him and Sanchez.”
Ozil has hinted he wants to the future of Arsene Wenger confirmed at the London club before he puts pen to paper on a new deal.
