Arsenal tried but failed to secure a striker signing in the summer but it seems the calls for a new striker is finally getting answers as Fernando Llorente is now very close to signing for Arsenal on loan according to daily mirror. Fernando Llorente who was a target for Arsenal when he was at Athletico Bilbao has fallen out of favour at Juventus and is reportedly wanting out of the Turin club with Arsenal the likeliest destination.
It was reported earlier in the summer that Arsenal have Llorente as one of the strikers the club have their eyes fixed on for a move once the January transfer window opens. It now seems the interest is beyond what was initially reported with a deal now very likely to be struck in January.
Llorente 28, is a Spanish international who has fallen out of favour with the National team due to the lack of first team football. It is believe the player is desperate to leave Juventus in other to get regular first team football. Juve however not ready to let the player go unless they are able to sign their own target in Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke.
