In what has been dubbed a make or make match, Arsenal will be hosted by Manchester City shortly from and there is no telling who will come-off the game as victor.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson reckons that it is difficult to predict the game as both teams are capable of beating each oda.
Both teams head into the game off the back of a mixed run of form, with Arsenal losing their most recent game earlier this week at Everton.
Nonetheless, Arsenal are just one point above Manchester City who have lost a game more than Arsenal’s two.
Pep Guardiola’s men took some of the pressure off their manager Pep Guardiola by beating Watford this week, but the real test will come today when they take on fellow title challengers Arsenal at the Etihad.
And speaking ahead of the game, Merson was unsure who would run out triumphant in the game in the North West.
“I cannot pick this one,” Merson told Sky Sports. “It is so hard. A draw is no good for either side, really, and both have to go for it, which might mean they cancel each other out.
“Arsenal couldn’t cope with the tempo of Everton on Tuesday night, but Man City won’t play like that this weekend. It all depends what Pep Guardiola does. In the last big game, he changed his formation to match Chelsea and they had a enough chances to win that.
“Both teams are capable of winning this 3-0. I am sitting on the fence here.”
