Arsenal were heavily involved in the last transfer market but Arsene Wenger left late most of his transfer market.
Former Liverpool Jamie Carragher is in the claim that there will be a rebound effect for Arsenal as Wenger was careless to be ill-prepared.
We face Manchester United at Old Trafford later today and a win will see up go top of the table before Liverpool’s game.
Carragher says their opening weekend slip-up against Jurgen Klopp’s Reds could return to haunt them though.
Liverpool ran out 4-3 winners in a scintillating Emirates encounter.
Ahead of Wenger’s meeting with arch-nemesis Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, Carragher has pinpointed how the veteran Frenchman could have better ensured his team
were prepared to kick things off in August.
“How big might the five points they dropped against Liverpool and Leicester in the first games be come May?” he wrote in his Daily Mail column.
“They were not ready for the start of the campaign and, again, Wenger conducted his transfer business late.
“He was without Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud on the opening day against Liverpool, but should have known France and Germany would go a long way at Euro 2016.
“It was careless not to be prepared.”
