Arsenal Makes Official Bid For Iker Casillas As Keeper Is Advised To Leave Real Madrid

According to La Cope Radio in Spain, Arsenal have tabled a bid of 20 million pounds for Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas who has been advised to leave Real Madrid if he wants to stand a chance of retaining is first team shirt at the national team level.

Casillas has since March this year fallen out of favour at Real Madrid after losing his first team shirt to Diego Lopez and if reports are to be believed, he will likely be playing for Arsenal in the premier league come the end of the current transfer window.

Wenger is a known admirer of the player and Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti had just couple of days ago practically confirmed only the player can decide his own future which probably means the Real Madrid manager will not be too keen to keep the player should he decide he wants to move away.

Arsenal are currently in the market for a new goal keeper as the club grows increasingly frustrated with the inconsistent performance of Szczensy. They have had bids rejected for Valencia’s Vicente Guaita. They are also monitoring Newcastle United’s Tim Krul situation. Begovic and Julio Cesar are the other keepers Arsenal are interested in.

  1. If Arsene Wenger goes through with the deal of buying out Iker that would be his best deal as the goal posts are almost unmanned. Arsenal has not been the same since the days of David Seaman and Lehman.Comeon Wenger don`t give up man
