Arsenal, FC Porto And Liverpool To Battle For 20 Million Pounds Brazilian

Brazilian National Team Press ConferenceArsenal are looking to steal Bernard from under the noses of FC Porto and Liverpool.

The midfielder has impressed for Atletico Mineiro on their rode to the Libertadores final while also gaining more interest for his displays for Brazil at the Confederations Cup.

After losing out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool turned their attentions to Bernard, while Porto had been watching the 20-year old for a while. Arsene Wenger has struggled to make an impact so far this summer and eyes Bernard as the player to kick-start the Gunners transfers.

The Brazilian is one of the worlds most sought after players and a move for the youngster would show ambition and entice other players to jojn the Emirates outfit.

Le Prof is looking for another creative midfielder to work alongside Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere to help unlock Premier League defences as well as a holding midfielder and believes Bernard could be a future star.

The debatable question hovering over Arsenal’s commitments in the transfer is the price. Wenger is known for his love of youth but also to keep his money. The 20 year would command at least £20 million. Wenger hasn’t ever spent that sum on one player before and is unlikely to do so on an un-established player. However the Gunners are going through a period of change and this could the springboard of what’s to come.
