Arsenal have been keeping tabs on certain European players, this may lead Arsene Wenger to breaking the bank for those stars.
Alexandre Lacazette scored (see below) what can only be described as an absolute screamer for Lyon in their Europa League victory over AS Roma on Thursday night.
With his side already 3-2 up the Frenchman collected the ball on the edge of the box in injury time and lashed it into the top corner, leaving Wojciech Szczęsny with no chance in the Roma net.
Not only was Lacazette’s goal a thing of beauty, but his Cantona-esque celebration left fans demanding to see him in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old – who has scored 28 goals in 33 appearances this season – has long been linked with Arsenal but with Sanchez now likely to leave, the need for a replacement has ramped up even more.
Immediately after the game, Arsenal fans took to social media with messages of hope.
There were rumours last week that Arsenal were prepared to pay £60m for the Lyon forward’s services but they are thought to be facing competition from the likes of Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
Lacazette also appeared to reveal last month that his preferred move would not be to north London, but to Barcelona.
