Barcelona have been told to shelf their plans of a swoop for Hector Bellerin from Arsenal this summer as he doesn’t seem to be desperate to return, according to the Express.
The Spanish giants have been after their former academy product since he broke into the first team at Arsenal as a right back.
The hierarchy at Barcelona have not been impressed with Nelson Semedo since his arrival from Banfica last summer and are not comfortable with Sergio Roberto who is naturally a midfielder filling the void at right back, which has led them to rekindling their interest in the Arsenal man.
However, Don Balon believe that Bellerin’s arrival would not be well accepted in the dressing room at the Camp Nou, as Pique is said to have told the club bosses that the players do not want Bellerin.
It is believed that the squad are concerned with his drop in form this season and the fact that he doesn’t seem desperate to return.
Bellerin joined Arsenal as a winger in the deal that saw Cesc Fabregas move back to Barcelona, however Arsene Wenger ordered his conversion to right back and that has seen him rise to prominence.
Do you think Barcelona will one day get him as they did Cesc Fabregas? Let’s know opinion below.
