Former Gunner Tony Adams has urged his old club to sanction a transfer move for a player who no longer appears to be interested in remaining at the Emirates stadium.
Arsenal have made a below-par start to the new campaign with a challenge for the Premier League title now an uphill battle after the defeat at Manchester City last Sunday.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has been charged with the task of convincing key star Alexis Sanchez to extend his current contract at the club which sees him earning £140,000-per-week in wages.
But according to Tony Adams, the Gunners should agree to sell the Chile international who does not seem to be keen on staying at the Emirates stadium.
“We used to have a philosophy at Arsenal: if you don’t want to be at the club then bye-bye, we shake your hand get people that do, whatever money,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Star
“I’ve always loved those principles, so if he doesn’t want to be here then try and get the most you can for him and get him on and get someone that does want to play for the club.”
